Age: Around 300 years old. His exact age is unknown, as not even Jonathon remembers anymore, but he was born in the early 17th Century England. Jonathan looks to be no older than his early 30s.
Appearance: A tall, handsome man, Jonathon has brown hair cut neatly and nicely combed, and also a cleanly cut beard and a thin mustache. He can usually be found wearing a nice, fairly expensive tuxedo, with a purple tie, inner jacket, and gloves. Jonathon walks with a cane in his right hand that also has a hidden blade inside. On his head he wears a tall top hat that also allows a place for his familiar, Aesha, to rest, as his hat has a rod in the middle part of it. His dark brown eyes hold many secrets.
Powers: Immortality, Eternal Youth, and Prodigy-like Abilities that have allowed him to become a powerful user of magic, with focus on grand illusions. Jonathon is able to create and control physical illusions of creatures and characters from the stories he has read that he can then use to attack others, by describe them beautifully out loud in a story-like way, but he must be careful not to create too powerful of creatures or characters as he could easily lose control if he does so (example, a dragon would be considered controllable, one of the gods from mythology are not in any sense of the word.) Jonathon is also able to change his surroundings and himself to deceive others through his illusions. He can also appear and disappear in a puff of smoke, and he will do this automatically, if he is significantly hurt. He can also call forth magical flames that do not need air, but these flames are not as strong as other flames, a trick that he learned in India. Traveling long distances in a short amount of time is also something he can do with fair ease by the use of magical portals. He also knows darker magics, but has promised himself never to use them.
Jonathon is a skilled fencer, and has become a graceful acrobat over the years. He is also a skilled voice mimicker and ventriloquist.

Weaknesses: He cannot allow himself to go too far nor will he willingly cast the more powerful or darker aspects of his magics except in the gravest need. He also rarely chooses to fight, being far more likely to walk away, instead. To bring forth the creatures and characters from the books he has read, he must describe them out loud in storytelling format, so if he cannot speak, he cannot use this part of his magic. Also, if one can cut Jonathon off from his magic, it will be far easier for them to defeat him, as he will have only really have his fencing and acrobatic skills to defend himself. Also, by taking or locking away his familiar Aesha, his magical powers will decrease about half. This also applies somewhat when Aesha is in human form, only allowing Jonathon a third of the power she would be able to give him when in bat form.
Personality: Cheerful, and friendly, Jonathon is an example of the perfect gentleman. He is also a charmer that shows great respect to any female he meets. This is sadly part of a mask, though, as this is only what he shows on the outside. On the inside he is tormented by constant and painful memories of what he has seen and experienced. Four demons of his past plague his days, and terrifying nightmares torture his night, also four shadows seem to follow him wherever he goes. He works hard to get through each day and each year, but Jonathon wishes for nothing more than that his suffering could end. He tries to keep idealism alive in his heart, but he sees little that brings him any constant joy. When with others, he puts forward a calm and content air with a bit of playfulness, leaving few to even suspect his pain inside. Also Jonathon prevents anyone from getting too close as he feels no one else should suffer as he has and to see his pain. In battle, he is the calm center of the storm, and when he grows angry, it shows itself as a tranquil, cold fury that only a fool would dare face.

He then started schooling outside of England with a focus on Writing, English, History, and fencing. It was here that he found a love of reading, not only history, but also fables, fairy tales, myths, legends, and most other works of fiction. It was during this time that he discovered magic, an art he soon grew skilled in, especially with creating physical illusions of the creatures and characters from the books he has read. By this time, about thirty years had gone by since he had left his family. When he returned to his family, they did not believe it was him, as he looked no older than his early 30s, and they all knew he was supposed to be in his late 40s by then. Jonathon was forced away, shunned by the only family he knew. It was around this time that Jonathon saw he could not age, nor could he ever grow sick. Many would have seen this as a blessing along with his prodigy-like abilities, but Jonathon saw it all as a curse.
Jonathon was foolish, though, not understanding everything this could mean… like when it came to falling in love. Her name was Gabriela and she was a true beauty. Kind, loving… she believed in him, understood him, and even accepted the fact Jonathon was different. It was the happiest time of his long live. They had three wonderful children, and because of Jonathon’s skills, they grew to live comfortably and had no worry for money, but it all ended in tragedy. The people in the town they lived in grew suspicious of the fact that Jonathon had not seemed to have aged a day in the 10 years he and his family had lived there. A mob was formed and, while Jonathon was out on an assignment for his work, they broke into his home. Working towards killing his wife, thinking she had married a devil, and also killing his children, as they thought they were half breed spawn. Jonathan returned from work during this time, and after seeing what they had done, flew into a cold fury, and in his fury, he brought forth three of the most dangerous and terrifying monsters his imagination could bring forth, ones that showed his rage, his pain, and his sorrow, created with the dark magics he had chosen before never to use… But he lost control of them, and watched as they started destroying the town and killed everyone in their path. He was horrified at what he had created, and to make it even worse… his wife was not completely dead yet, forcing her to see the evil he could make. When Jonathon knelt by his wife’s side, he saw she was still alive, and he tried to save her… but she turned away. She said she could never live with, nor even love, a man that would create such evil, and said that if Jonathon really loved her, he would let her die. After much pleading, and trying to have Gabriella change her mind… he finally agreed to what she asked, though it hurt him dearly, and as he watched her die… a part of him died with her.
Jonathon swore to himself he would never fall in love again, nor would he ever use his magic to cause harm to any but the most evil or dangerous of villains. He also promised himself that he would never allow himself to grow so angry as to cause himself to bring forth his inner demons again. He also promised himself he would find a way to destroy these inner demons he had created.
Years flew by like a blur, but they were not peaceful, as the demons he had created tormented him still. Jonathan gave his demons the names Irascor for rage, Volnero for pain, and Aegrimonia for sorrow. He continued to improve his skills, and also his learning in both history and the magical arts. Through the years he has stepped forward to help the forces of good, but he never made any true friendships, except his familiar Aesha, a talking bat with strong magical energies, which he found during his travels… she became his only friend. Nor did he allow himself to fall in love, as he feared a similar tragedy to that of his beloved Gabriela. He also learned many languages in his travels around the world.
Yet his troubles did not end with just that, oh no… After what would have been the 70th anniversary of Jonathon’s marriage to Gabriela, Jonathon finally gives into his longing. Using the same arts that Jonathon had used for his inner demons, and his powers to make physical illusions, Jonathon tried to bring his wife back into his life. This, understandably, ended badly… he succeeded in creating the prefect image of his wife, down to every detail… But it wasn’t her… it looked like her, but his wife’s personality, her soul, was not there. He had created an abomination of his wife… with Aesha’s help he was able to drive his Longing away, barely escaping with his live. The reason why is that, though Longing was not his wife, was she had the power to draw Jonathon to her. She calls him into her embrace… but the day he does, he knows that she will bring her claws into his heart.
Jonathon chooses to stay out of most of the conflicts between the heroes and the villains, only fighting when a villain shows himself to be of a significant threat to the world or a country. He will take time to save an innocent life, though, and he will also fight crime here and there, but Jonathon will usually try to stay away from most trouble.
Jonathon has been known to appear around the world to showcase his skills. For example, he will often perform with his musical abilities, or in a magic show. At other times he may give one of his more impressive displays, his storytelling skills backed with his illusionary art, actually showing his audience the story as he tells it. He may also take a woman he meets on an unforgettable evening, showing her chivalry has not died completely from the world, but he always makes sure never to go too far, as Jonathon fears what might happen, and he will then disappear when the evening is done, never to be seen by the woman ever again.
Has no true ‘home’, but instead has many places of rest all over the world, yet at the same time when he is lonely, hurt, or feeling heart sick he does go back to his old family’s home resting in his childhood room, a house which he had bought after they had all passed on.

Appearance Aesha is a magical Indian Flying Fox that wears an opal chain necklace around her neck. When in human form Aesha becomes a tall dark skinned beauty with jade green eyes and raven black hair, after she transforms from a bat to a human she wears a simple black dress. The opal necklace becomes a bracelet on her right wrist after the transformation.
History Aesha is a bat from India that was once the guardian of a sacred book filled with the history and magics of India, she guarded this book in an ancient temple of Muni. This book holds the full history of her land, and also a complete account of the magics of India, this counts the darker aspects of her land’s magics. This guardianship was later transferred to Jonathon while he was visiting this temple. It was while Jonathon was reading through this ancient book that Aesha was called and appeared before him. Such was the magics of the book that a bond was formed mentally and magically between Jonathon and Aesha. In addition it forced them to experience each other’s memories and the emotions each had experienced in their lives for the first day of this bond. At first, both where uncertain at what to make of this, even hating, but through the years not only have they gotten used to each other, but they have grown to appreciate each other’s company. Aesha has even started to show feelings towards Jonathon, but Jonathon on the other hand has tried to keep a distance with her. He cares about Aesha greatly and sees her as his greatest friend, but understands the danger of showing this as it could lead to her getting hurt. They have a strong bond, not only from that day they first met, but also because of their travels around the world, and after having saved each other’s lives many times, though this may be difficult to see as they seem to argue far too much at times for this to be seen.
Personality, Likes and Habits Aesha is a very sociable creature, even towards strangers, who she could start talking to as soon as they meet. She is intelligent and wise when it comes to India, and all that is part of her culture and the magics of her home, but outside of India knows very little of the world. Thankfully Jonathon has help teach her much about the world outside of India, and in turn Aesha has taught him much of India and their magics. Aesha love fruits of all kinds, but adores bananas. She also loves cute things, and all things of beauty. Aesha at times gets into conflict with Jonathon as they see things in different ways, which will mean they could argue over the smallest of details. She can show herself to be proud towards others, and will get very offended if one does not show her respect, as in India her and her kind are considered sacred. Also she needs to drink large quantities of liquids, particularly salt and sugar water, or she could quickly become dehydrated.
Powers and Abilities Aesha cannot be outright killed while in bat form. She can be weakened, but not killed or hurt as she has the protection of Muni, a god of India. Aesha wears an opal chain necklace that allows her to take a human form for 6 hours a day, with the potential for more, as for every two hours of additional sleep she gains one additional hour to be in human form. This charm also gives her the ability to understand any language in both forms, though to actually speak a language she must learn it the hard way. Aesha has the ability to speak in bat form. In addition she is able to communicate with Jonathon telepathically. Aesha has excellent vision, acute hearing, and is a strong swimmer in both forms. In human form Aesha has reflexes that are greater than most humans. Also she holds within herself much of the energy that permeates the air and land of India. This allows Jonathon, because of his connection with Aesha, to have a large store of energy at hand and as such also allow him to cast more powerful, and a greater variety of, magics that he otherwise couldn’t. Aesha is a powerful flier in bat form, but cannot fly at all in human form as she has no wings, instead she can teleport and move in a puff of smoke, an ability she gained from Jonathon. She also has precognitive abilities that she had before meeting Jonathon that allow her to sense danger and predict the near future.

She will only gain back all she could do before by getting the opal charm back, otherwise she will be permanently stuck this way.

In addition she is able to communicate with Jonathon telepathically. Aesha has excellent vision, acute hearing, and is a strong swimmer in both forms. In human form Aesha has reflexes that are greater than most humans. Also she holds within herself much of the energy that permeates the air and land of India. This allows Jonathon, because of his connection with Aesha, to have a large store of energy at hand and as such also allow him to cast more powerful, and a greater variety of, magics that he otherwise couldn’t. Aesha is a powerful flier in bat form, but cannot fly at all in human form as she has no wings, instead she can teleport and move in a puff of smoke, an ability she gained from Jonathon. She also has precognitive abilities that she had before meeting Jonathon that allow her to sense danger and predict the near future.
Weaknesses There are limits to Aesha precognitive abilities as she cannot usually tell what this danger may be, nor is the future ever completely clear. Also if a means were found to destroy Aesha’s and Jonathon’s connection and bond, it would weaken both of them greatly. She can be hurt or even killed in human form, as her protection only applies while she is a bat. If one were to cut the opal charm from Aesha’s arm while she is in human form, as it cannot be removed otherwise, she will revert to her bat form, and be all but stripped from her powers, simply be an intelligent flying fox that can communicate only through Jonathon (as she retains her telepathy with him) and impossible to kill. She will only gain back all she could do before by getting the opal charm back, otherwise she will be permanently stuck this way.
(May consider having Jonathon taking in a downloader (one not played by me) with magical potential as an apprentice, as it could add an interesting element to the RP.)
